      Candidature

J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Salesforce (Londres, Angleterre) en mars 2019

      Entretien

The process was quite involved. It started with a phone interview with the recruiter, then three phone interviews with different people in different time zones around the world, followed by a quite an involved paper to write, then a final panel interview and presentation of the paper I'd written. I was told at this point that it was between me and one other person then a week later I was informed that I hadn't gotten the job. There was roughly a week between each interview and being told I was moving to the next stage, then another week to prepare before the next interview. Each of the phone interviews had a different focus between skills or values and each person I met through the interviews was warm and made the experience positive. The recruiter was informative and friendly throughout the entire process. There were two negatives from the process. Firstly, the paper they asked me to write was essentially a piece of free consultancy that took several days to research and write and I don't think it's good practice to ask candidates to do such an involved task without compensation. Other organisations I know of pay at least a nominal consultancy fee when it gets to this stage. The other negative was when I asked for feedback after not being selected the feedback was that I didn't have experience in a specific skill the role required. I knew this from the beginning and was very open about discussing it at every stage so it was disheartening to go through such a lengthy process, and frustrating to have taken time out from work to attend multiple interviews, if I was disqualified from the beginning. I got the feeling this may have just been an easy answer for the recruiter to give for why I didn't get the role, but I put a lot into the process and was hoping for genuine feedback to help me improve in the future. Regardless, I was glad I went through the process and probably would apply again for a role at Salesforce in the future.
