First, I had a 30-minute online interview with HR. The next step was an on-site interview with the team. First of all, I arrived at the SAP gates in São Leopoldo about 15 minutes before the scheduled interview time—keep that in mind. I approached the security personnel and informed them that I was there for an interview. They contacted someone inside, but the next thing I know, they told me no one was expecting me and that they needed an email confirmation from someone inside to allow me in.
I had a terrible experience. Not only did the interview team fail to send the required information to the security, but they also left me waiting outside for 20 minutes, anxiously hoping something would be resolved. Eventually, it worked out, and I got in.
The interview itself was okay—they asked questions about various situations, and there was a technical test to explain about what a code log said and a pseudo code test in java, which involved instantiating a interface —but they also repeated the same baffling question that I can’t understand why they keep asking for every position that I applied so far: choosing between a Dev position and a Support position.
Overall, I felt deeply sabotaged in this interview because of that gate situation and It me put in doubt about how serious SAP takes interviews for interns, how can they let this happen?
