The interview was done via phone with a software developer. A short introduction (10-15 min) from both the interview and me and then a coding exercise on shared Google Docs for about 45min. The focus was mostly on understanding of data structures and algorithms and not the syntax or programming language of the choice. I chose Java but I could have chosen another language as well. The developer was very helpful during the exercise.
