Applied online, had to go through personality and scenario testing, relatively straight forward just need common sense.
Invited to interview, signed in at reception and was met by a woman who told me to wait in the staff canteen till the lady interviewing me was ready!
She came in and was really lovely told me she preferred informal interviews. We went through a few regular interview questions and then a scenario based game where I had to decide what I’d do in the situations and then filled in a reflecting sheet and described why I did the things I had chosen. She left the room and came back in to tell me I had passed and offered me the vacanncy!

Applied online and completed the online assessment. Got invited for the interview after passing the assessment. In-person interview with the manager at the store at the chosen timeslot. Fairly quick interview.

The interview process is very simple with typical questions: 1) Tell me about yourself. 2) Tell me a time when you overcome a challenge or struggle. 3) How do you define great customer service? 4) Tell me a time when you need to take ownership of your work. 5) what is your greatest achievement 6) why do want to join M&S?
1st stage: aptitude test
2nd stage: assessment center with group activity (marketing strategy and customer support)
Just right after assessment center, straight to interview room.

I spoke to the line manager and she asked about relevant experience and a few behavioural questions about how I would speak to customers. They assess your personality and whether you are a people person and therefore suitable for the role.
