Ughhh... where do I start.
First thing to know... it’s entirely automated. It’s the easiest thing in the world. You go to their warehouse jobs site, select a warehouse listed job (if one is currently available) and then select a shift.
It then has you fill out minimal basic info like name, address, phone number, date of birth and social security number.
It then asks you to check off and “digitally sign” a couple forms giving them permission to run a background check and a form stating you are okaying with them performing an oral drug test.
Once you do that it said I was supposed to take an assessment but I never got one. It just immediately said I had been tentatively offered a start date and to choose my “interview/orientation” time and that would take around 30-45 min.
It also asked me to fill out an i-9 form and watch a short video which took 5 minutes total before my orientation.
I showed up at the main building and there was a room with four desk with plexiglass for covid. They asked my name. Pulled my application. Asked if I understood the role was for 1:20 Am to 11:50 am and that I would be walking upwards of 8-10 miles a day... to which I said yes. Then they asked to see my i-9 docs. I put my license and social security card up on the plexiglass where she could see them to verify (she didn’t even scan them. She said she didn’t need to which I’m pretty sure isn’t true).
Anyways after that she said I could proceed down the hallway and go into a room to take my drug test and someone would be there.
After getting lost (there were eight rooms in that hallway and no one in any) she showed up and said she would be doing my drug test.
She took me into a room with huge plexiglass deviders making cubby areas.... on the first one was a standup mini desk with a tablet and a drug test kit and bags and papers. She said she would instruct me what to do from behind the plexiglass. Once done she had me properly seal up the drug test kit in the bag and attach the scan label and scan it into their system and mark it in the android tablet.
Once that was done she said I could leave and had me drop off the drug test kit in a collection spot on my way out.
It was weird. I only talked to one human the entire time. And it was for roughly ten minutes tops.
After that I was given a promo code to use to buy work safety shoes for $110 from Zappos on my way out (Amazon owns them now I’m pretty sure) and said to order them that night so they would be here for my first day of work.
She said that the background check and drug test would obviously still be pending and that the follloeing week (it was a Friday. My first day was the Saturday of the following week) I would receive an email to complete was new hire training before my first day once the checks were complete.
Fast forward to today (it’s Thursday) and my drug test finally came back. Now when I went in to take it, I brought my adderall prescription with my as I take it for adhd and knew it would pop up on test. The girl said it’s not a big deal and she didn’t need to see it and wouldn’t delay anything just that they would reach out and it’s a quick easy process to verify afterwards.....
That’s turning out to not be the case
Sure enough I popped for amphetamines.
However they didn’t tell me. How I found out? I logged back into my account page to check the status as it’s Thursday now and Saturday is my first day. It was getting close and I was worried. When I logged in, my start date had totally disappeared. I went to the jobs section and my job appeared but said the selected shift is no longer available and to select a new job, to which there are no jobs that appear at all.
I checked my email and there was an email from Amazon that said my drug test and background check was complete and to check my account page for status and updates and that if I needed to get ahold of the medical review staff about a drug test that I will have already received an email from them and to follow the prompts on that email to move forward.
Well there was no email from any medical review team. And I had no info on how to contact them.
I reached out to their “applicant support” section via online chat and asked for the number to medical review.
I called medical review and the lady said that sure enough I had popped for amphetamines to which she asked if I had a prescription to which I said yes.
I have her the prescription info and the pharmacy to verify it and she said she would call right away and that if I didn’t hear back from her right away that everything should be good to go and my application would work again in short time.
Well it’s not. I called back to the applicant support and they told me to wait a week and wouldn’t tell me if my start date was still the 16th or if it’s changed. Frustrating as crap. I have no idea where I’m at in the process at this point or if I even have a job still
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Literally zero questions as there is no interview what so ever.
No interview at all, you go into the hiring center, take your drug test, fill out some preliminary paperwork, verify the building and schedule you want, your start date and that's it.
Not too bad pretty easy and straightforward, simple question surrounding handling and moving. Make sure you know basic safety rules as they will ask you, for example how do you carry heavy items.

Apply online, go to the on-site office for oral drug swab and ID picture. Start date is assigned once background check comes back. The actual start date will depend on how fast the check comes back but isn't normally delayed.
