I was hired right out of college, so this description applies specifically for if you're still a student:
I applied online, then about a month later received an email titled "Amazon Interview Opportunity". The email told me I'd have an interview with 2 Operations Managers (the position above Area Manager) via Chime, Amazon's texting/Skype-like service. I spent the next week preparing by looking up common interview questions and familiarizing myself with the company's culture.
I reserved a room in one of the campus libraries and set up my laptop for the interview. I was emailed 3 different codes- one for the chatroom where myself and the other candidates met up before the interview, and then the other two were for each of the interviews with the Operations Managers. In the chatroom we were told that there were plenty of positions open for all of us- it wasn't a competition. Each of us would be considered on our own merits.
I spent about 30-45 minutes speaking with each Operations Manager, and then it was over. All in all, the interview took about 2 hours. I got my acceptance email exactly one week later.

Multiple online tests after application, followed by a virtual interview with various staff. Staff did not want to be on camera and did not have many good things to say about working there.
Prior to even speaking to anyone about a possible interview there was a long and lengthy testing required. Really disappointing to finish with no feedback or additional details. I only received an email post test.

Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Talked to 3 different people, all of whom were wearing old sweatshirts and not looking at the camera. As I was sitting on zoom in a suit jacket, did not feel at all a place I would be valued at.
