They are very straight forwarded. They described the position and what they expect from us.They need people with good work ethics and HARD HARD WORKERS,they have very high standards and expectations that’s why you are paid so much. They are very strict in the enforcement of their policies and standards.!!!After 2-3 interviews in the past 2 years I finally got a chance to do the road test and I failed because I don’t know how to drive standard manual transmission even so I drive trucks with stick shift.Thats why is very important that you know how to drive standard manual transmission I highly recommend practicing 5-6 speeds I had 5 speed, maybe someone will say it’s the same as in the truckS,NO IT’S NOT.I miss my opportunity and I don’t believe that I will get another chance in UPS,that’s why I’m writing this for the future candidates not to repeat my mistake.Good Luck UPS IS THE BEST!!!

The most remarkably unprofessional interview experience I have ever had. They asked me to call in, the gentleman I spoke to spoke very little English, with a very thick accent. I had trouble understanding him, and he had trouble understanding me. He could not answer any of the questions I had about the job. He tried to tell me that the pay rate for the position was $2/hour under what was posted on the application, and when I asked him about this, he put me on hold for 25 straight minutes, just to come back and tell me he did not know, and could not continue the interview. He told me I would receive a call in the next 48 hours, but I do not plan on answering if this is the UPS experience.

Job position said it paid over 100K for what is considered a rural area. Went through the whole Application process, scheduled the interview, just to realize that all of the information was misleading. The first issue I noticed was when I scheduled my interview it gives you the impression that it’s an in person interview, only to find out that it says its a virtual interview. Even that information is misleading because it’s actually a phone interview. These mishaps prompted me to do some research. The job only pays $21/hr for intensive labor.

Question 1
We didn’t get through the entire process.
During my research for the job interview I kept seeing the rate for this position at $17-$21/hr- full time. That is not what the initial job post said. The screenshot I have says that the position is for a package delivery driver in a rural town that pays 143K a year. After I learned that, I shared my concerns and wished to rescind my application, and share my experience in hopes to make the experience better for applicants and recruiters.

Interviewer started off saying this was a seasonal position. I said it didn't say seasonal anywhere on the listing - on LinkedIn (where I saw the listing) or on the UPS website. I didn't mention LinkedIn until the interviewer asked how I heard about this position. Position was for October 2021-January 2022. According to the interviewer, the whole onboarding process including the probation period would last about two months. I can imagine, "Congrats on finishing your probation period. You can go home now." Lol

Question 1
Interviewer went over the same info on my application about moving violations, if I was 21 or older, if I've ever driven a manual transmission, when I could start.
After I said I was no longer interested because it was actually a seasonal position, the interviewer went ahead with the process. *shrugs*
