Interview Process: 1)Online Application 2)Phone Interview 3)Online Assessment (sales personality fit and basic quantitative skill measurement) 4)Skype Interview with 4 team members 5)Presentation Total Duration: approximately 4 weeks. I absolutely loved my interview process for the SDR position at Glassdoor's new office in Chicago. I was contacted for a phone screen after submitting my resume online and had one of the best conversations with the sales manager that will lead the Chicago team. Honestly, she is awesome! After that, I took an online assessment, which was very simple so no need to stress out about that. Then, I had a Skype interview with four members from the SDR team in California since I was based in Minneapolis. The initial email from the recruiting coordinator indicated different interviewers. However, a couple of their schedules probably changed and they were not able to make it to the Skype interview. This was totally understandable! During this interview, I was definitely more nervous than normal because I wanted the job pretty badly. I thought I was extremely wordy and did not really answer some of their questions with my best ability. I definitely would not give myself a final round after that interview, but they were kind enough to give me that chance. Final round is a PowerPoint presentation about yourself, why you want to be in sales, and why you want to be a Sales Development Representative at Glassdoor. I had to reschedule the interview because of my schedule at the current company I was working for, which I felt terrible about. They were extremely understanding of the situation. I prepared a decent presentation, but definitely was nervous when I was giving it. My voice was definitely monotone and I don't think I sounded as energetic as I was before. In addition to that, I had awkward pauses for whatever reason and probably sounded like I was reading a script or something even though that wasn't the case. That being said, the entire team was respectful and they clapped after I was done even though the presentation did not go as planned in my part, which shows that they are nice group of people. If you make it to this part, make sure that you are energetic, showing your excitement about the opportunity, and asking for people in the room to introduce themselves. That would be my advice. Finally, at the end of this presentation, they asked a couple of questions. My answers were absolutely terrible. I think I freaked myself out after my presentation ended, because I thought I ruined it and when the questions were directed to me, I was totally out of my thinking process. Make sure you do not do that and answer those questions really carefully! That was the entire process. One thing that I want to mention is that when I was talking about the current company I am working for (the largest global manufacturing and engineering company), one of the people in the room went like "what is that?", which shocked me a little. But, I am taking that as a stress test to me to see how I react when I get uncomfortable. Hopefully this was the case! :) There is no way that Glassdoor people would be that out of touch about the world. So, be prepared for a couple curve balls. Anyways, I ended up not getting the offer, which I expected. I absolutely loved talking to them! I am definitely jealous of their company culture. The SDR manager in Chicago is an amazing leader, so working with her would teach me tons, but it is what is. I just accepted a different position at a fun start-up in New York City (not as fun as Glassdoor obviously. Duh!) today as their Customer Retention and Strategy Analyst, which I am very excited about, but Glassdoor would definitely be a great place to work for. I hope that our paths cross again in a few years. Do not be discouraged if you don't receive the offer. There will be tons of other opportunities at Glassdoor or somewhere else. Hope this helps!

I'm so happy that you found such a great position in NYC in a role that you're excited about. Based on the details and clues that you have left throughout your interview review I think I remember your presentation. If you are who I think you are, here are some of my thoughts: 1. Your presentation/interviews are much better than you give credit for here in your review! Interviews are nerve-racking - It's ok to be nervous and it shows you care. Also, as nervous as you probably felt, I remember that very little of it showed in your presentation. 2. You'll do well at your new role and throughout your career. Your presentation was well prepared and you painted a good story about your performance and accomplishments. 3. Though we did move in the direction of other candidates, we all walked away with a very positive experience with you as a person and candidate. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Oh and also thank you for the very kind words about Devon! She's great and we couldn't be more excited to have her leading the Chicago SDR team. Eric Gonzalez Associate Director Sales Development

I met Marijka and Caroline who made me feel so at ease from the second I walked in the door. They were both chatty and bubbly and allowed for a very open conversation. It was around my background and how my experience can relate to the position. A few competency based questions thrown in too. Mainly about what motivates you and your growth mindset. The interview was 45 minutes and the a 30 minute role play.

Overall interview process was one of the nicest interviews I’ve had. First phone call with recruiter, (informal and get to know you and a bit on your background) This lead to an on site interview the following week with two sales managers. Two genuine lovely women who I connected with immediately. 45 mins of competency based interview questions Then a 15 minute mock call.

I had a phone screen with a recruiter who went through why I wanted to work there and general questions such as why I’m looking to move and my salary expectations etc. I then had a face to face interview with manager which was a 45 minute competency based interview and then a 15 minute qual call that I had to prepare for and I also had to prepare a question that was asked in the interview - how I would secure 100 opportunities in a quarter.

How I prepared for the interview? What I know about glassdoor? How I perform in teams? How I like to be managed? My 5 year plan?
