      Entretien pour Account Supervisor

      Candidature

Le processus a pris plus d'une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Edelman (New York, NY) en avr. 2007

      Entretien

The process began with a brief email interview to see if on a basic level my interests were aligned with the company's work. I then went to the company's office on three separate occasions for interviews. I met with the lead from the group I was applying to for a screening interview the first time, each time after I met with several members of the group individually. The interviews were intensive, and there was no set style. It was a bit disorganized, as no one knew what position exactly I was applying to or what projects I would be working on if I was hired. It seemed they knew they needed bodies but hadn't determined exactly what capacity or for which kind of work. At the time the group was growing, so there was some flexibility, but now the group is likely clearer on what they are looking for. You definitely want to go to this interview rested and ready to demonstrate clarity in your thinking, show you are strategic and back-up your logic. The test prosses was also intensive, your typical grammar test and then a writing test that required familiarity with recent news stories. Candidates are asked to critique a company's recent communications strategy - what was good about it and what could have been done better. Though the process was intensive, it was a test that revealed who you are and your abilities to the company while also providing the interviewee some perspective into what it might be like to work there.

      Questions d'entretien [2]

      Question 1

I was asked how I would go about getting a certain company press. This required that I be able to identify a company that was relevant to the kind of work the group did and be familiar with the company's operations and position.
