Interview process started with HR calling for details and expectations and screening the profile post which HR' incompetence made scheduling the interview itself very hard. She told she is working from home and took leniency in scheduling the interview . Randomly scheduling the interview and calling 1 hour before to let me know about interview being scheduled and asking to join and then cancelling since I was not available at such short notice only to delay the scheduling of interview again.
Post 2 weeks of attempts to just get the interview scheduled . Finally interview happened and I cleared the L1 , again then had to wait 2 weeks for HR round , which to my surprise was not a HR round , HR manager called out of the blue on my phone and informed me what salary she wants to give me rather than having a HR discussion related to policies and salary discussion . It was more like take it else leave it we are not bothered. Imagine waiting almost a month in process after giving expectations only to get low balled in the end that too with a margin of 5 Lakh between expectations and actual . Even after telling that you have offer in hand that are better than what they are offering . It was complete waste of 1 month as a candidate and being kept engaged. I had to proactively call the HR for details . Before all this they took all my personal details in name of background verification like degree ,marksheets,payslip , information release form and got them signed so that they can use my personal details as deemed fit only to tell that they didn't have budget from the very beginning , why waste 1 month of time of time when you know you don't have the budget approval to begin with ? was it just to get information and details of candidates . Overall it was a very bad experience at professional end and there is no monitoring of such conduct by capgemini team . I would have requested to someone to take a look in to this matter but I don't think anyone bothers to so concern and such unprofessional conducts keep on happening with genuine candidates which leads to unhealthy environment when it comes to switching jobs.
The process was very smooth and recruiters helped throughout the process. I would rate it 9 out of 10 when it comes to ease of the process. The offer was rolled out in a week.
