I was contacted by the director to come in to the facility for a 1:1 interview. It was a basic discussion of the position and my expereince. Some scenario questions. About an hour long
A week later I was contacted agin by the director, she wanted me to speak with her V.P. in NY. The phone call took place and more scenario questions. General questions about my expereince.
I was contacted again by the director saying that I was moving along well. They wanted to arrange a video conference with the Senior VP in NY. I came back into facility where a video conference was arranged. This interview was high level, asked me why I wanted to work for Company and how my skill set would fit in.
I then met all the group members, discussed their backgrouns, etc.
To make a very long story short, the director called me and informed me that they went with an INTERNAL candidate. I was shocked! I asked why they even bothered to interview me. She confided that I was her favorite but the internal person knew the business (you think) and that is why she was chosen. I politely thanked them for wasting my time.
IF you interview, make sure that they have interviewed all INTERNAL candidates first!
