I was called by a recruiter and given the job description and told about an opening, we agreed to setup the phone screen. One month went past, series of missteps (manager on vacation, and miscommunication) that position got filled, but another one opened up, which took another month to get 1st phone screen, then a week later for the 2nd phone screen. Finally after another month I had my onsite interview. The onsite was very challenging, it's all day 7-8 people. Get a good nights rest before hand - AND BE PREPARED! Don't think this is just another interview, it's not, do your research on Amazon's Leadership Principles. I can't say the overall interview process experience was smooth, (Amazon on-boards 10k people a month) but it was worth it in the end.
