CEO Vince DiPofi will be a distinguished participant at the American Heart Association’s Emerging Leaders Panel on April 25th. As a heart disease survivor, chairman of the board for the Northwest Ohio chapter, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) champion for SSOE, the event is dear to his heart—no pun intended. Under the theme of inclusive leadership, Vince—alongside emerging leaders from the nonprofit's Midwest region—will delve into the essence of DEI. He'll share best practices and discuss our firm's journey toward authentic implementation, all while maintaining the delicate balance of managing a diverse group and cherishing its uniqueness without bias.
Leading the charge towards a greener future. Ascend Elements’ revolutionary EV manufacturing plant is at the forefront of sustainable innovation. Slated for completion in 2025, the facility will transform recycled lithium-ion batteries into engineered materials for 750,000 electric vehicles annually: cutting carbon emissions by 50% of typical cathode material (equivalent to removing 45,000 internal combustion engine vehicles from the road for a year!). SSOE is servicing the design and systems of the $1 billion Apex 1 campus in Kentucky—North America's premier sustainable cathode precursor (pCAM) manufacturing facility. The greenfield megasite is expected to create over 400 full-time jobs in Christian County and generate approximately $4.4 billion in total economic impact during construction and in the first 10 years of operation.
