The interview process included the following: a phone screen (30 mins), assessment (2-3 days), hiring manager phone screen(30min - 1 Hour), and a final interview @ HQ with 4-5 interviewers (2 Hours) . The process was great as it gave me experience on how to interview in the tech industry. The questions were standard behavioral, some about the assessment, and some were pertained to their "core values." I felt the company's infectious culture and their positivity brought a smile to my face. Overall, the experience was bitter-sweet. While the interview process may have been standard, I have noted down some of my observations: Here are my suggestions to the HR Recruiting team: 1) Do not provide an office tour after the final interview. Not only does that cause confusion, but it is a waste of time for someone that will never work there. I walked up 4 pairs of stairs and viewed all the amenities that I will never get to experience. 2) Understand that each interviewer is time conscious and only has 30 minutes, but please do not keep reminding us every other question that we have (x) amount of time left. Felt that I was being rushed to be put out the door. 3) If you are looking for candidates with specific experience such as R, Python, or Tableau, then list it on the job description so that we don't feel disqualified. 4) If you decide to select another candidate, please do not call me over the phone. I would have preferred to have received a rejection email rather than get a call because that just sends mixed signals. Overall, the company was great and I would have loved to have seen how I could have contributed, however, they felt that my talent could be used elsewhere. Nothing to worry, your loss not mine.
