J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Yelp (San Francisco, CA) en oct. 2016
Entretien
First a recruiter came to my school and I submitted my resume. Then I did a short, relatively easy coding challenge. Next, I had a 60 min phone screen. I was a bit nervous and the interviewer asked a few technical questions about my project where I was a bit confused about what they were trying to ask. Then I did a coding exercise on coderpad. It had to do with string permutations, if I remember correctly.
The questions were fair but I was annoyed with how horribly slow it was to schedule and interview. Also, my interviewer did not seem passionate about the company at all, which made me uneasy. When asked, "why did you go to Yelp?", they responded, "it was the first place that offered me a job".

Brief phone screen followed by 15-minute call with recruiter. Call was extremely scripted, they go through the questions quickly and are clearly just doing these back to back. High focus on your ability to meet quotas, deadlines, and SELL above all else. If you are truly passionate about restaurants/small businesses, take your passion elsewhere.
