Zoom call with recruiter talking a little bit about my background and the position itself. It was very positive and the recruiter was great to speak to. Followed by a 1hr interview with the hiring manager which covered behavioral questions and to design a class diagram based on a set of requirements. It is then followed by 4 more rounds of interviews, one about XO language demo, another 45 minute technical round on class diagram (this time it's more in-depth and more technical, thinking about data persistence), and the rest is mostly behavioral.

There were about 5 rounds of interviews. 1 with Hiring Manager and 4 with the team. The interviews went well and at the end of each received positive feedback and I was confident enough, but after 2 weeks of waiting the hiring manager decided my profile was not aligned with the role. If this was the case why wasn't I rejected in the initial rounds or hiring manager round? Felt like a waste of time by setting aside a whole week for the interview. Please workday respect others time.
