I had an interview process earlier this year with Workday. I initially had a screening with the recruiter -very straight forward- followed by a series of interviews with the Hiring Manager and the respective team. The calls with the HM and team went really well, they were all very knowledgeful and friendly. However, the interaction with the recruiter was really disgraceful. He set up an interview for me and the hiring team (final interview) but he'd forgotten to tell me I would have to prepare a presentation. This led to the interview being cancelled within 5 minutes and rescheduled for a later date - a waste of time for everyone and highly embarrasing for the HM. After finally having had the last interview and waiting for an answer, I had to reach out to the recruiter several days later for an update. Only then did he ask me if I was free for a call for the following day. We had the call and he basically told me they had gone with the other candidate and that it was very hard for him to say that to me, etc, etc. and how much he hated that part of his job, etc, etc. He told me that they really wanted me in the company so that he would reach out to me within the next few weeks with similar roles. Needless to say, he never reached out to me :)
