This is easily one of the worst interview processes I have been through.
The Interview process started actually well and was quick through to the final round. I felt like the final round also went fairly well. I heard back from the recruiter saying that I did amazingly well but I was better suited for a different data role.
She passed on the Codility test the week after.
I completed that and it was relatively easy. I heard back from them a week later saying that I did not pass the test. I followed up asking for feedback for which I got no real reply.
I then heard back from the recruiter a couple of weeks later with a message saying that I had actually passed the codility test and their system was giving them false positives. I was excited about this and was eager to complete my interview.
My then recruiter passed me on to this other person(lets call him X) who was a senior recruiter as well.
I actually haven’t heard from him. I followed up 2 weeks later and this is the reply that I got.
"I apologize for the delay. X has been experiencing computer issues, but it should be resolved by the end of the week. He will reach out to you with next steps then."
It has been a month and I am still waiting to hear back from this X person and I sincerely hope that his computer issues have been resolved.
(P.S: I reached out again after a month and this X person does not work at Wayfair anymore 😂 )

Question 1
What is the difference between speed and reliability?
Pathetic. Interviewed with multiple teams, standard questions but I don’t know why they have such high standards for entry level roles. They use google sheets for analytics. Yeah, you read that right. The offer is very difficult to come by, utter waste of time for the salary they pay

I applied and had a recruiter phonescreen. This recruiter was pinch-hitting from London for some Boston recruiters. I thought it went well, he said he thought it was a good match and he'd have an update for me in 24 hours. Unsurprisingly for Wayfair, there was no update. A day after I was supposed to get the update, I was rejected by an ATS form letter. Lack of respect, really.
It was structured and smooth. There's an online assessment, a recruiter phone screen, a hiring manager round, a case study interview (75 min), and a behavior panel interview (30 min*3). I think the process may vary depending on the role.
