The application and interview process is what you’d expect. Every time though my hopes are brought up that I would get the job, but each time I’m let down with a ‘not this time’. I just want everyone to be aware this company is demoralizing in their very hiring process. I have applied to this company five times, only two of which I even got an interview. I have worked in customer service since 1995 and have excelled since. I am a specialist in my field and I am proud of the successes I’ve been part of. I can provide an entire background history and over a hundred reference that can back up my claim and Wayfair still doesn’t seem to want to hire me. I could accept not getting hired due to the claimed lack of experience, if they didn’t hire someone else I have known personally who has zero experience. Every occasion I ask, why I’ve not been chosen, the same excuse is experience, sorry, 20+ years isn’t enough? They make sure to mention to apply in six months, am I on probation or something? Why can’t you hold my application for six months and call me when you have an opening for me? I understand you want to pay people who would do well for your company, but I’m not only applying for the pay, but because I wanted to work for you. This seems to be an ongoing trend, you have wasted four hours of my life, that’s $64 of free time I’ve given you. I can’t think of any reason why Wayfair wouldn’t hire me, except the possibility of foul play or discrimination. I guess I’ll never find out.
