3 Rounds:
1. Phone Interview by someone from Recruiting Team( 25 min)
Interviewer shares background with Operations team, should hear back in a day or two
2. If they're interested, a phone interview with tech team, hear back in a day( 45 min )
3. On-site interview with the whole team, hear back in a day (3.5 hours)
It was Round 1 for me. It was simple. Friendly interviewer. Did a quick background check on LinkedIn, and learned that he had a masters degree in Theater, so I somehow expected more behavioral questions. He did describe the technical responsibilities of the team, but he did not ask technical questions.
You mentioned you're interested in the Data Science field. I just want to make sure you understand the exact analytics part we do at the Operations team.

I first spoke with an hr technical recruiter. It was a 30 minute conversation just going over my back ground, but then there were 2 quick and easy technical questions asked. I enjoyed our conversation and was excited for the next round.
Next round was a phone interview with 2 hiring managers. Worst interview experience of my life. The way they asked questions about my resume and phrased their questions came off as very condescending and unprofessional. Things like "Oh, so in your last job you really didn't work with THAT much data." They went on to ask a case study question. As a group, the interviewers came off as ditzy and again, more of the condescending attitude came out. Wayfair needs to work on their interviewing skills. Interviewing is just as much about selling the company to a potential employee as it is hiring someone. You couldn't pay me to work here. Oh wait, their pay is already embarrassingly low. I think I'll stick with my current job thanks
