There was a brief phone interview that asked behavioral STAR format questions about how you handled tough situations in previous jobs. Next, it took them over a month to schedule my 8 hour group interview. They gave us team building exercises and watched us intently. They also listened to our conversations with recent new hires. They encouraged us to let our guard down but they don't actually mean that. Essentially they want a very specific type of person that they can mold to their weird corporate culture. Everyone is very underpaid and they avoid conversations about salary. They think their culture is enough to keep people around.

The interview process was very smooth. The interviewer did a great job of asking questions about myself and gave a lot of opportunity to learn more about the culture at Vanguard.

Interview was done in star format with panel of 4 current managers. Be sure to have thorough answers and clearly address each part of the star method - situation, task, action, result
