Typical behavioural / competency based questions

I originally applied for this role in February. I heard back from a recruiter within a few weeks and she tried to arrange a phone call with me. After trying on numerous occasions to contact the recruiter and arrange the call, all went quiet. I didn't hear from J&J at all. Then, about a month later, another recruiter got back in touch and asked if I was still interested in the role. The interview process escalated quite quickly from there, with an interview with the hiring manager and their manager after that. I was fortunate to be offered the role and was told I would receive my contract in the next few days. I took over four weeks for my contract to arrive by email. Based on the contract I had a couple of questions I wanted clarifying before I signed the contract, so I emailed my questions over to the recruiter. I never heard anything back from her. I waited for two weeks for a response and still nothing came through. After much thought, the bizarre radio silence, and the fact the business unit I was due to join was up for sale, I decided to decline the offer. I sent a follow up email to the recruiter to explain my reasons and to thank them for the offer. Even after declining the offer I haven't heard anything from the company. It was a very bizarre interview and offer process which left me disheartened and I can only hope that the offer and onboarding process improves for other candidates. It definitely wasn't what I expected from just a highly regarded organisation.
