J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Trip.com Group en juin 2024
Entretien
I had a highly frustrating experience interviewing with Trip after approached by their headhunter, as they have no respect for candidates' time and falsely advertise their positions.
1. The role was initially advertised to be available in my preferred city, but midway through the process, they insisted on relocation to their HQ in Shanghai. This bait and switch tactic is highly unprofessional and a major red flag.
2. My salary expectations were confirmed multiple times before and during the interview process. Despite this, after 6 rounds of interviews—where feedback was consistently positive and they requested my payslip (a strong indicator of intent to hire)—I was ghosted for weeks. Eventually, I received a generic rejection notice with no explanation, feedback, or apology. Upon checking with headhunter, it became clear that their budget couldn't meet my salary expectations, but this crucial information was only disclosed after wasting a significant amount of my time.
Despite initially positive interactions with the interviewers who all seemed smart and humble, the lack of transparency and respect in handling candidates' time is glaring. I would suggest against considering opportunities from such a company.
