I assume it went:
Resume --> Portfolio --> Interview
I applied to be a UX designer, and I think they knew that by looking at my resume. The interview was interesting for sure. I had to present a topic to a person that doesn't know much about the topic. I think it was to see if I was well-spoken.
I applied to Synchrony at Research Park at the University of Illinois, so they primarily take students.
J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Synchrony (Champaign, IL) en juil. 2021
Entretien
It was fairly straightforward, with candidates having to present a technical topic to the interviewer and having to answer questions afterwards. Overall, the interview was pretty stress-free and enjoyable. This was an internship from my college, so it might not be applicable for other places.
J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Synchrony (Champaign, IL) en mai 2018
Entretien
Interview process lasted for two months. Phone interview came first, and was centered around delving into background and reasons for pursuing the internship. Lasted about 15 mins tops. Few weeks went by and another phone call was scheduled to remind them of my interest. A few weeks went by and after another reminder, an interview with the project lead was scheduled to gauge technical competency. Stressful due to the uncertainty and long time frame, but it was extremely rewarding in the end.
