Easy and straightforward. The manager was kind and receptive. We went over what I thought I would want to achieve in my role and how Starbucks would help me get there.

The reason given for my rejection was that I did not praise Starbucks enough during my interview. When the panel asked me, "Why Starbucks?" I answered that the role being offered is unique and challenging. So, irrespective of the brand, I would have applied for this role. I could sense a shift in their demeanor after this answer.
This answer was given as the reason for my rejection. It seems Starbucks is the biggest brand in the world, and it is a no-brainer that everyone wants to work for Starbucks. My answer offended the interview panel. Talk about a narcissistic company.
