I spoke with the recruiter originally about a manager role. They let me know that I might not have enough experience, but they felt good about my background and thought it was worth a shot. I interviewed with the regional department head and she made the call that they liked me enough to move me to the next step.
From there, I interviewed with a larger panel for 1-2 hours and they came back and told me that I didn't have enough experience and that I would be a good fit for the Enterprise Customer Success Manager and the salary was about the same as the manager role so I decided to move forward.
This required another panel and a presentation deck which I spent a 4-5 hours preparing and prepping for. After that interview I was told that they only really hire people from Deloitte into this role and they ended up giving it to a former Deloitte consultant...
They again offered me a lesser role of a CSM and I told them after all of the bait and switching, that I was still interested because I felt like Slack was such a great opportunity. They came back and said that there wouldn't be a role until Feb (this was December). They reach out in January and gave me an update on when I might expect an offer and then I just never heard back from them.
I accepted another role outside of Slack, but I was very unimpressed with how the team approached the interview process. If they treat potential employees like this, I can't imagine what it would be like when you actually work there.
