I interviewed for an HR/benefits & compensation analyst position located in IL and the interview was unprofessional. I was interviewed by the hiring manager and by the HR Manager (Generalist) at the same time. They both barely knew how to conduct an interview, their questions were unclear and extremely short. They did not even pretend to care about my experience and what i had to say and interrupted me at least twice.If they believed I was not a good fit for the position in the first place why even call me for an interview?! The interview was about 10 minutes long and most of the time they were the ones talking and not asking many questions. At the end of the interview they wished me a good day and got up and left the room with nothing to say, they did not walk me out or be professional enough to end the interview in a nice and respectful way. They also told me that they would reach out to me with an update on the position and that by a specific date they would give me an answer and a decision. They never called or emailed with a decision and even when i reached out to ask for an update i did not receive a response back from either one of them. I have been to plenty of interviews and i have never had such an unprofessional experience.
