J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Opendoor

      Entretien

I was contacted by a nice woman who wanted to setup a phone call/screening. We agreed on a time to speak and she sent me a take-home assessment but said there was no need to complete it before our call. I completed it anyways as it was simple and stuff that I deal with on a daily basis. She was about 15 minutes late, so I emailed asking if it was still a good time. Being at a startup myself I know it's easy to get overwhelmed or busy, although I do think it's important to be punctual for appointments and meetings, especially with recruiting talent. She said she had a meeting that ran late and would be contacting me soon. We spoke for a few minutes, as she explained Opendoor and the role or potential of what the role would be like. It seemed as though she may have been in a hurry because she didn't ask if I had any questions. She just said she would be in touch with me soon about next steps. A few days later she thanked me for my responses on the assessment and we setup a time for a phone 'role-play'. It doesn't matter that I feel role-play interviews aren't the best indicator of future performance of someone, because I did a bad job anyways, which led to a decline. Although, some of the feedback was that I was too formal versus casual, which was strange being that I was on a role-play with a potential employer, so you'd expect a lot of formality instead of a genuine, authentic phone call. Regardless, Opendoor is growing and doing something really cool. I felt the hiring process wasn't the best, but if it works out for them, that's great and all that matters.
