J'ai passé un entretien chez MuleSoft

      Entretien

The interview process was sped through quickly and the recruiter was helpful, which is the only positive of my experience. However, through various rounds of interviews and assignments (multiple phone interviews, assignments, assignment presentation, onsite interviews), the rejection came in the form of a cold email. Mulesoft could at least have the consideration for a phone call to reject a candidate that has taken time off to go through through several rounds of the interview process. It does also make me wonder if they were just trying to get free solicitation and advice...

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez MuleSoft (San Francisco, CA) en févr. 2016

      Entretien

I felt confident and comfortable during my entire interview process. I've seen people describing the interview process at MuleSoft as long and/or arduous but I would say that's pretty common for tech companies today who are serious about finding the right fit for the role. It was also quite helpful for me to get to know many of the people on the team, whether I'd be working with them directly or not, to help me get a sense of the structure, work/life balance, and culture that definitely informed my decision. I had three back-to-back interviews in person, including the head of marketing, and they asked pretty pointed questions about my background but it was clear that they were doing so to really get to know me and understand how I think and operate, not to criticize or judge. I did have to do a presentation, which was a little time consuming but not crazy difficult, and actually helpful when I went in to discuss it in the interview and received some feedback. It help set a baseline for what I might be doing, where I'm doing well, and where I have opportunity to grow. The best part of the process for me was how genuinely helpful the recruiting team was to me. After interviewing with three people and still having had questions, my recruiter brought in a VP from the team to chat with me, completely off schedule, and it actually sealed the deal for me. Plus, everyone I interviewed with had the same advice, "Is this what you're going to get excited about when you wake up in the morning?" They really cared about making sure this was not just a fit for them, but a fit for me. And I'm very glad it was.
