My interview process at Lidl was very unprofessional, which was quite disappointing given the fact that I consider Lidl a great company. After an initial application with cover letter, I was tasked to complete an online assessment. Passed the assessment, I had a positive phone interview (about a week later) where I was offered a face to face interview. So far so good, although the lack of flexibility from the recruiter in setting up the interview was very frustrating (only was given one option).
I reserved an hour for my interview on the day (due to such short notice, it wasn't easy to take more time off work), which would have been more than enough if the interviewer didn't make me wait nearly 20 minutes in the waiting room during the actual interview.

My experience with this company was very poor.
I initially applied for a position and was contacted by phone to confirm my interest. After that, an interview was scheduled, which I confirmed and attended as agreed.
However, after some time, I received an email stating that I did not attend the interview and that my application was considered withdrawn — which is simply not true, as I was present and completed the interview.
I reached out to clarify the situation and had to wait almost a week for them to investigate what should have been a simple mistake. When they finally responded, I was informed that I was not selected for a sales position in a city I never applied for.
They apologized and explained it was a system error — but at that point, there had already been two major system errors during my application process.
Overall, this was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with a company that presents itself as organized and a desirable employer. Unfortunately, my experience showed the opposite.
