J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Lidl (Fishponds, England) en août 2017
Entretien
I applied online, completing the customer service and numeracy assessment. I received a phone call and email two weeks later saying they were very interested in my application and inviting me to an interview in the store the following week.
Unfortunately the interviewer had clearly not looked at my application beforehand; they seemed unaware that I was about to be starting university, and unimpressed that I did not know which hours I would need to be there yet (bear in mind I was applying for a position of 11-20 hours per week). I was asked three other brief questions, then told about what the role would entail before being rushed out the door. The whole thing was over in less than five minutes.
I received an email the following morning informing me I had been unsuccessful.
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.

Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.

Question 1
Why Lidl?
What hours can you do?
Where can you see yourself working in the shop?
