J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Keyence en avr. 2023

I made it through all 3 rounds of the interview process and had a lovely experience up until the very last portion of interview. The final portion is broken up into a 30 minute sales pitch and then a 30 min "typical interview." I completed the sales pitch, made the sale, and then the sent me into a zoom meeting with two new individuals for the interview portion. I met with two men. One was very nice and kind but the other man seemed to make an impression about who I was purely based on appearance. I am a 29 year old female and I will admit I look young for my age (but that is out of my physical control). He was convinced that I appeared "too nice" and made many implications about whether I "could handle rejection." About 75% of the interview was me trying to explain or defend why I wasn't "too nice." Things he referenced were: 1. I appear to be a nice person. 2. I look young and have a nice tone to my voice. 3. I lived in Minnesota for a few years and he said quote "isn't that state referred to as "Minnesota Nice" ?" He questioned by ability to handle rejection and take criticism based on my appearance. He also implied I couldn't handle working with the cliental in the Detroit area which I'm assuming is because "I look too sweet and nice." Not once during the interview did he ask a question about my skill set, what I could bring to the table, or even ask situational questions to give me the opportunity to show him how I would deal with criticism. I have quite honestly never been treated that way in an interview in my entire life. I've never had to defend myself based on the tone of my voice or by the silly phrases of states I've lived in. The interview ended and I sat there completely baffled. It made me wonder if they treat any men that way or if it was purely because I am a female. I didn't want to work with them after the interview but I was sent a rejection email 2 and a half weeks later....Only after I followed up with them 3 times just to prove a point.

Question 1
Think about the concept of an angel and a devil on your shoulder. The good guy is telling you all ways you will do great at this job. But what is the bad guy trying to convince you of. What are you scared of with starting this job?

Very odd, one hirevue and then they fly you out to chicago. The chicago process is smooth. One interview and roll play. Great time to practice skills and continue to get better.

The interview process starts with an informational session. After that, you complete a digital interview assessment, and only those who pass move on to a traditional Zoom interview. There are definitely a lot of stages you have to pass to get to the final round.

They may conduct a mock sales conversation where you will have to sell them something. Or they may ask you what you think will be the hardest part of the job.
Good practice for the job, multiple stages involving phone screening with HR, meeting with director, then mock presentation and interview with manager. Make sure to practice discovery questions for the mock presentations to help you understand client needs.
