Whole process took around 2 months. Applied in January and invited for a video interview around 4 weeks later. Following the video interview, invited to assessment centre a week later. The whole assessment centre took around 2 hours, firstly with a brief introduction to the company, their projects, and values. Followed by a group exercise and then rounded off with a one-to-one interview with a senior engineer and graduate engineer related to the position. Touched briefly on my CV and asked a number of competency type questions and one technical question.

Questions were mainly focused on practical and relevant previous experiences. The interviewer will ask in depth and try to understand what you have done before. It is important to explain clearly and show the relevance of your previous experiences to the job description.
