      Entretien

Applied online, was emailed by a recruiter to conduct a phone interview. She asked a few questions about why I want to work for the company and what I know about the company. Told me my information would be forwarded to the store management and would receive a call if asked for an in-person interview.

      Entretien

I applied for this job online through the company's official website. I received a phone call about two days later from a person in the HR department who I also did my phone interview with. These were general questions. For example: tell me about a moment when you had to work with a difficult customer and how did you handled the situation? Availability, salary and basic skill levels were also discussed. After my phone interview, I scheduled my "in person" interview at the store location that I applied for. My interview was done by the manager of the department along with two associates. I was asked a series of typical questions. Why was I interested in this company? Why did I want to work in this particular field? Why should I be the one chosen for this open position? What are some of my strengths and weaknesses? After answering many questions, I got to ask any questions about the job or company. The manager and associates gave a more in depth and detailed description of the job and what was required. Things that were to be expected. After all of this, I was told I would be given a project to do to show some of my skills. I was put into an empty room and asked to stage it to a theme the manager provided me. A variety if props were provided. I was given a time frame to complete the project. When I was finished, I was asked about my thought process. I was also asked which items were the focal point. That was the last part of the interview. I was told I would hear back within a few days whether I got the job or not.
