Overall the hiring process was an excellent experience, despite making it through to the final round and not receiving an offer for the role.
I made an effort to complete the sales and marketing certifications and learned quite a bit in the process that will definitely help with future opportunities. Christiaan was an excellent point of support and she consistently provided information that helped foster my success and development. Given Hubspot's reputation, I was expecting it to be competitive so I set my expectations low despite performing well and I feel as though I've grown through my preparations and the subsequent interviews.

Fair interview timeframe but once you move up in the interviewing process you’re given a project which you are to present at the final round. You are basically given a scenario much like one you’d have if you were in the role. Your job is to be creative but efficient in your problem solving skills.

After applying online I was contacted by HS's internal recruiter for Sydney. We arranged a time to call. After 20 minutes of questions about my experience we discussed salary expectations. We were way off, not in the same ball park and I was impressed that the recruiter called it there & then, showing great Transparancy, a key HS trait.

I had an initial phone screen and then met with the hiring manager. Both went well. I was asked the standard questions for an initial interview — mainly checking for mutual fit, previous work experience review etc. unfortunately, this was 2020 and the hiring process froze right there and I never heard back.
