Entretien
Google’s hiring process is lengthy and opaque, with limited regard for the time and emotional investment required from candidates. I went through multiple interview rounds over approximately 3 months, including final interviews, with minimal transparency after the process concluded. Communication consisted largely of generic “no updates yet” messages, followed by a rejection with no feedback due to policy.
What has been most striking is how the process has deteriorated over time. In earlier years, Google offered prep calls, clearer expectations, and more supportive recruiter engagement. The current process feels far more transactional and impersonal, with less guidance and virtually no closure, even after deep engagement.
While individual interviewers were professional and thoughtful, the overall system creates prolonged uncertainty and provides little insight into decision-making. Candidates should be prepared for extended timelines, limited visibility, and no actionable feedback regardless of how far they progress.

Google’s interview process includes recruiter screening, technical phone screens, 4–6 onsite rounds (coding, system design, behavioral), hiring committee review, team matching, and offer negotiation. Rigorous and lengthy. it was very nice.
