Interview process is perfect to make sure that they hire talented individuals only. It is on par with most others including the BIG 4's (I cleared the interviews for 2 out of 4 firms).
First is a written test which is a mix of coding and analytical ability. There is a case study too and a general question on convincing your colleagues.
Then there were 2 VTC rounds conducted right from Stamford, Conneticut (Headquarters). They were as detailed as one can imagine. The interviewees were all masters of their field. Here is a tip: Think of yourself as an architect and then answer their questions. These are the two mammoth rounds which are sufficient enough to weed out casual programmers from the talented ones. Didn't had to negotiate much on compensation. They offered a really good hike.

I interviewed with Gartner twice for two different software engineering roles. During my initial interview for the second role, I spoke with the same recruiter I had met during my first application. Both experiences were pretty underwhelming.
In the first call kept their camera off the entire time, and the conversation only lasted about ten minutes. It felt rushed and a bit impersonal. When I applied again for a different role a few months later, I had a similar experience where the recruiter didn’t seem very engaged or interested in the conversation.
The process felt unorganized and lacked communication.
