The interview process was very collegial and straightforward. First rounds were over the phone with 4 different current directors. Once I moved past first round, the in-person interviews became more involved. There was a 45 minute presentation to a room full of existing senior leaders on my background, work experience and skillsets. There was no specific topic. Rather, the goal of the presentation was to assess how I put together a storyline as well as how I presented. The day was quite long as I spoke with about 6 people one-on-one but each conversation was fair and mostly focused on me painting a picture of how my skillsets meet the job requirements. There was an in-person third round which was a combination of more conversations with senior leaders combined with more of a "sell" of Eastman, the area, and the community (all of which are wonderful).

I applied online and got a call to schedule an interview in the same week. The recruiter showed up unprepared, so much so that he hadn't even read my CV, which he confessed to only after he asked me to introduce myself extensively. And that was just the first red flag of quite a few. At the very end of the hour-long meeting, he proceeded to say that they had in fact already filled this position internally.
