Entretien
2 rounds of interview were conducted. 1st was a technical interview conducted by a Data Scientist of similar profile as mine.
It was a good interaction, and the interviewer was clearly well trained in conducted tech interviews.
2nd was supposed to be a "behavioral" interview conducted by a "manager" position employee who was extremely unprofessional. He had no knowledge how Data Scientists operate and no understanding of machine learning, which is al-right since he is not supposed to be an expert of sciency stuff and was asked to conduct a behavioral interview. But he kept on asking silly questions about data science.
Explaining data science projects to someone who is not familiar with the subject is something that we as data scientist should be good at, by clearly articulating using laymen terms. But the person must be aware that he is not familiar with things and should listen to my explanations properly. However explaining data science to someone who thinks he understand it but obviously had no idea what I am talking about should not be the judge of my skillsets.
2nd interviewer was highly biased, untrained, and unqualified to conduct a technical questioning & he wasn’t suppose to. I don’t know if this was properly communicated to him by HR or not or maybe he had no experience taking interviews at all.

3. How did you check the performance of your model? How much was your RMSE and he noted that down in a notebook !

Entretien
They have an interface where you see all of your applications and their status. Most applications are viewed by the hiring manager within a few days. First it was an HR interview, then a technical challenge, then interview with the hiring manager and the last step would be with the boss of the manager.
HR rep asked me if I would be ok with a lower salary than the one I get now, and when I said no they asked if money was my motivation which I honestly found quite impolite.
Hiring manager interview was ok, however I was shortly rejected from the position because I didn't have a technical skill which I never stated I had in my CV. They could have very easily read my CV more carefully and rejected me directly, instead of putting me in two rounds of interviews and making me spend time on the technical challenge.

El proceso de entrevista para el puesto de Data Scientist en Deloitte fue profesional, aunque demasiado largo y con muchas fases. Hubo varias entrevistas técnicas y de recursos humanos, además de ejercicios prácticos. Aunque los entrevistadores fueron amables y el proceso estuvo bien organizado, considero que podría ser más ágil y eficiente.

Me mostraron varios gráficos y dashboards con datos de negocio y me pidieron interpretar tendencias, detectar anomalías y explicar qué conclusiones tomaría a partir de los datos. También preguntaron cómo comunicaría esos resultados a clientes no técnicos.
First round is CV scan and intro interview. 2nd round is a technical interview (take home), which aims to solve a classification problem, and 3rd round is team culture fit
