The interview process is almost exclusively based on answering situational questions about your past experiences.

Be prepare for questions along the lines of "tell me of time when you were not successful and what did you do about it"? Also, "tell mo of time you had to deal with a difficult employee and how did you handle this situation"?
the company had vacancy for the post of section manager .as a part of the selection, the interview process in which i participated was not good. I feel that it could have been better conducted by the company themselves

The company came for campus placements in SASTRA UNIVERSITY.
They mostly hr questions and questions about your project. Very few technical questions were asked. They were also interested in selecting female candidates.

Everything is situational--answer in the STAR format. Tell them about a 1) Situation that you were in, 2) the tasks/actions taken, and 3) the results. Obviously, they want to hear about past actions that you've taken that had a positive outcome.
