I applied in person and returned my application a few days later. About a week later the assistant store manager called asking for me to com in for an interview. It ended up being a group interview, with 8 other people. We were asked very simple questions, such as: "How would you handle a situation with a difficult customer?", "Why do you want to work for the company?", What would you do if you knew an employee had been stealing from the company?". Lastly, she divided us up, and we had to create a stylish outfit (with accessories) for her child to visit the beach in (half had to look for an outfit for a boy, the other, a girl). She told us to expect to hear from her in three days. However, the very next day the store manager called me for a second interview scheduled the next day. The second interview was very laid back, she asked, "Why should I hire you?", and other simple questions about my availability. She said she had four other people to interview that day but that I would hear from her that evening. She didn't call, so I figured I didn't get the job. Three days later, she called telling me she wanted to bring me on, and she needed some info from me to do the background check. Both interviews were really easy; I didn't even have any job experience. Confidence is the key though.
