I received an email for an invitation to a phone interview. When the time came to receive the call the HR representative could not get hold of me. He had sent me an email asking me if he can call me on another number. At that point I was not sure why he could not get hold of me. So he called me on WhatsApp call and then he said our time has run up and that he needs to go to another meeting. We agreed on the call that we whould reschedule for the next day. The following day I emailed the HR representative apologizing for and explained that my number was not activated for international roaming. I suggested an alternative to use Google duo instead of WhatsApp calling and said that I look forward to the interview. The time came for the interview and no call. I waited in anticipation and still got no call. I emailed the HR representative and asked if he was not able to get hold of me. But still no response. It is very unprofessional to invite people to an interview and not following through with it. Especially when you put a lot of effort into the interview.
