After applying online, I got an e-mail about two weeks later from the HR of the store I applied for. They told me there was a hiring seminar this weekend and invited me to be part of it.
It took place in a nice hotel downtown. There were about 50 other people. We were asked upon arrival to fill out a form about our general MAC knowledge. Dress code was urban/casual. I felt a bit nervous since the other applicants were all Apple geeks, with their Macbooks and iPhones, but the Apple reps were really nice and talkative.
We listened to a 2-hour long presentation about the company and its products. They asked general questions about who owned which products and what our opinion of it was. I think the most important is that you participate a lot while answering those questions, since it'll make them remember you and how much you were interested.
Overall, it really felt like a nice conversation with no trick questions. I'm still waiting for an e-mail response from them, and hope to make it to the 1:1 interviews.
Questions d'entretien [3]
Question 1
What is the difference between RAM and a hard-drive?
It’s a very long process so have patience. Sometimes they will give you feedback but if you are external you will just receive a turn down email. Keep applying. Apple says it’s not a NO. It’s a not now and that’s very true.

Famously competitive as always, my odds were better since I kept updating my resume whenever I was on the job search. They reached out to me first by email, I completed an application, and then had three rounds of interviews in total.
