Because I was abroad at the time of the hiring process, all of my interviews were held over either phone or video chat. I had a 30-minute intro interview over the phone with HR in the beginning, followed by another 30-minute video interview with the hiring manager one week later. The week after that I had a 1.5 hour interview with the hiring manager and one of the senior website specialists. My final interview was a 2.5 hour long video meeting with 5 other employees in the company. I found the whole process to be refreshing and thorough. AppFolio’s team was quick to reply and very professional during the entire experience.

Took a VERY long time. I had several interviews, one on the phone and one in person with a director, a manager, and a current team member. Everyone was very nice and they showed me around the office. One word of advice: come prepared with questions, do research on the job description and know your areas of strength and weakness, and don't be afraid to ask a current employee about the challenges that they are facing currently in their position.
