Two phone interviews. First interview was with internal recruiter. He was very nice and professional- asked basic questions about my background and gave a detailed summary of position. Second interview was with the hiring manager. It went great (or so I thought). He was very engaging and easy to converse with. Phone interviews can be a bit awkward, so I was relieved to speak with someone so personable. I was almost positive I would get the opportunity to meet with the team in person, but I never heard anything - not a word. I sent thank-you emails to everyone I spoke with and followed up several times (both with the recruiter and the hiring manager). I never got a response. Not even a, "we hired someone else" or "we're interviewing more qualified candidates." I understand people are busy, especially at a company that is looking to grow their business, but to not respond at all seems a bit odd. Would love to have received an offer. AppFolio seems like an incredible company, but I am a bit put off by the lack of communication in the HR department.
