Here we go, The interview was for a Machine Learning Position in Stockholm. I applied online, and the process took roughly more than a month. Started with a phone call from the recruiter asking some basic questions about my current situation and any position. This was then followed by an interview with the engineering manager for the team I would be working in, in less than two days I got my second interview with a data scientist at AWS. After that, I got my on-site (virtual) interview scheduled with 5 people. The interview had to be rescheduled due to one interviewer being on a leave (unexpected from a company of the size of amazon), but I didn't mind that, I happily chose different dates. This was the most energy-consuming and irritating interview I have had in my life, it took almost the whole day, talking non-stop and being asked open-ended question after question. When it was the fifth interview, the interviewer noticed that I was collapsing, and ten minutes to the end he was laughing and said it was enough :D, but I insisted on the completion since it was only 10 minutes left. Five days later I received an email saying my interview debrief hadn't happened and they would get back to me next week, and it was very annoying since Amazon is supposed to give an answer after the on-site interview within 5 days. Anyways I waited until the next week. On Monday I received an email for a video call! (very exciting isn't it), I googled why they would send me an email for a video call if they wanted to reject me, and I got very positive search results, why would they ask me for a video call if they wanted to reject me, but unfortunately that's exactly what happened :( They told me I was very strong technically but I failed in their leadership principles.
