      Entretien

I applied online first, after they reviewed my application they set me up with a group phone informational session about the program with a chance to ask questions at the end. The next step was completing a 88 question online questionnaire, mostly multiple choice options where you pick which the given ways would you respond to a given situation. After I passed that section, they set me up with a 45 minute long FaceTime session with a recruiter in the HR department, this was a behavioral based interview. I was lucky and had a very down to earth recruiter and I felt I killed that interview! They got back to me a few days later and said I was moving on to the final round, which is a 3 part (1 hour long total) sales simulation on phone or Skype that they outsource to some sort of recruiting consulting company. To preface it, this last part was somewhat strange and scripted on the other end, the only somewhat difficult part to the process. They give you limited access (30 minutes) to review how they want you to handle the 2 sales calls following that, along with the services they want you sell in the calls with the prices given. Then after the 30 minutes you get your first call, which is a small business owner who is opening up a new shop and is inquiring about AT&T's services. I recommend keeping it very simple, ask what their goals are and briefly explain the solution you can offer to them and how it is beneficial for them. Start with the most basic services like phone and internet access then up sell after he commits to that initial need of services, try to sell him on a package and explain the saving. Make sure you get a commitment before the conversation ends. If you don't, you likely won't get the job. The, 2nd call you have to handle an upset customer and just remain calm and relaxed and explain that you will do all that you can to help solve their problem and you will look into it and get back to them. They then assess your calls and how you handled them and give you a score (which you don't see), depending on how high or low your score is you will move on and likely get an offer. They let me know hours later that my score was too low and I won't be continuing the process. So, if you get to the final sales role play simulation, just remember to stay calm and relaxed and keep your sales process simple and make sure you talk at a normal rate and you sound confident. I got nervous and over complicated the role play. I recommend using the Problem, Cause, Solution, and Benefit approach to the new business call and you will be just fine.

The interview is anywhere from 3-5 parts. The first interview is a screening to get to know you and see if they want to move you forward. I personally did not find it difficult, but a lot. The final interview is a presentation. You create a power point presentation and do a sales pitch.

I applied online through my university. I was e-mailed by AT&T to complete a sales assessment exam within the next 48 hours. I completed my assessment and was contacted by a recruiter to set a time for a FaceTime interview. Interview was semi stressful because it was hard to read the recruiters body language. He asked me to sell him on my university and my hometown. Then he asked me to sell him on Atlanta, followed up by asking why he would choose Little Rock over Atlanta. They are looking to make sure you ask good questions not know your facts per say. Ask questions like "What are you looking for in a city?" as opposed to "ABC has great public schools or local foods." My interview was on a Friday and they called me back on Monday to schedule my final interview. The final interview is split between two periods. First you have 30 minutes on a portal(website) they provide to study and learn the information about what AT&T offers, how to answer the phone, and a customer log. After the 30 minutes you will receive a phone call from a blocked number. This will be your first customer, you can keep the portal open during the calls so if you forgot to write something down you can still look it up. They are looking for someone who is upbeat and kind. One customer will be upset because something isn't right with their service, the other will be a small business owner looking to upgrade or become a new customer. I felt really bad about both calls but they called me on Monday and offered me the position.

Pretty General. Online application, followed by an initial phone screening, then a skype interview and scenario based interview. Scenarios dealt with "customers" and how you handled happy and unhappy customers. It really is not a difficult process because they are hiring people straight out of college. Have ideas in your head as to different answers to general behavioral interview questions. Recruiters are incredibly helpful at tailoring the process timeline to your needs. Whether you want to quickly progress through it in a couple of weeks or draw it out, they can help you achieve this.
