Everything was straightforward and as expected up to the assessment centre. I really enjoyed the assessment centre and loved the staff, leaving feeling very positive. It felt like a great company who are going on to even greater things, and the grad scheme seemed amazing. I also received very positive feedback. However, from there everything went downhill. The communication with the HR assistant was terrible. On several occasions we had arranged phone calls which never came, leaving me to follow up. The timescale that they gave at the assessment centre as to when offers would come out was also not adhered to. You are not informed as to the progress of your application, even after things have changed. It's up to you to make contact to find out what is happening. After a very positive impression of the company at the assessment centre, they were really let down by unprofessional communication from the HR department. In the end, I had to pull out due to an offer from another grad scheme. They are losing out on high calibre graduates as they are failing to lead an efficient assessment process. Very disappointing.
