IN THE LIMELIGHT: our Leah We're back once again with our 'in the limelight' series. A monthly Q&A with one of our lot talking about the twists and turns in their careers and, because it's us, probably about their favourite lunch, too. Last month we chatted to our Gareth about tech, sharks and Dr Seuss. This month it's our Leah's turn to talk about women in IT, badminton and why the humble spreadsheet is mightier than the sword. We're all about hiring well-rounded people, us.
IN THE LIMELIGHT: our Gareth If you work at innocent, you tend to make quite a few moves. Dancefloors and dodgy renditions of the macarena aside, moving into different roles around the business keeps our lot learning and growing. Every month, we’ll be putting one of our movers and shakers in the limelight to tell you about their time at innocent, and share a few top tips like how to go from sales to IT. Or how to make the perfect poached egg in the office microwave. So go make yourself a cup of tea and get comfortable. This month we’re chatting to our Gareth who’s been here for just over 10 years. He started off by selling smoothies and he now leads our transformation projects. He also likes to listen to The Prodigy and to read Dr Seuss to his kids. Ideally not at the same time.
THINGS THAT CAN BE A BIT SCARY Haunted houses Clowns Clowns inside haunted houses Starting therapy for the first time We might like bottling up fruit and veg but we’re doing our best to steer clear of bottling up our feelings. Yes, our therapist does have to put up with our bad jokes too. We've teamed up with the nice people at Plumm to give everyone that works here 12 free online therapy sessions per year. It’s been a massive help to a lot of people, and it's done wonders for normalising all things mental health around here. Have a listen to our Laura talking about how we look after ourselves at work a bit more.
