Drew Wopat, a planning lead at our Timberlands office in Greenville, Maine, brings his love of forestry and his community to all that he does. “[I enjoy] working to bridge the disconnect between kids and the forest, showing them they can have a good career in this industry," Drew says. "I tell them how I get to snowmobile, snowshoe, hike and bring my dog while getting paid to do it… now that’s pretty cool." Learn more about Drew and his career journey with the company, and his commitment to his community. #TheWeyerhaeuserWay #careeradvancement

We're pleased to release our 2023 Annual Report. In it, we share how we continued to deliver industry-leading results in challenging markets, improved our performance through innovation and grew our natural climate solutions leadership. We're proud of all we accomplished and look forward to 2024. The cover for this year's report was selected from over 100 amazing photos submitted by employees across our operations. The winning photo was taken by Adam B., an area marketing manager in Hattiesburg, Miss. Other photos included in the report were provided by Mike Bagley, James Ferguson, Jody Jobanek-Suiter, Judd Jones, Steve Martin, Jacob Schuler, Malissa Webber and Rodney Worthington.

For generations, we’ve been proving that harvesting and replanting on a sustainable cycle leads to thriving forests and healthy ecosystems. We reforest 100 percent of our land after harvest, including planting more than 100 million trees each year across the United States and Canada. This spring, our crews in Oregon are continuing to plant more trees than usual as we work on reforestation efforts following the devastating Labor Day fires of 2020. We look forward to watching these trees grow over the coming years and decades! #TreePlanting #ModernForestry

By removing a century-old log drive dam from Houston Brook near Bingham, Maine, our Maine timberlands team restored miles of additional habitat for brook trout and other aquatic species. “We want to be good stewards of the land and good citizens of our communities,” says Ben Kamps, New England area manager. “Actions like this show the world that ‘sustainability’ isn’t just a buzzword for us, it’s a value that guides everything we do. If we want our forests to last forever, we have to care for the entire ecosystem, not just the trees — and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”

It started out small: Volunteering to catalog a tiny library at her daughter’s preschool after noticing the books were outdated and lacked diverse representation. One thing led to another, and five years later Malissa Webber was averaging 100 hours of volunteer time annually at her kids’ current school, North Seattle French School. "I love how excited my daughters are to see me at school," says Malissa, communications manager and a 2023 Weyerhaeuser Volunteer of the Year. "I also like setting a good example, showing them how I’m giving back to the community." Learn more about Malissa and what motivates her to volunteer. #TheWeyerhaeuserWay #volunteer
